According to WFAA-TV Dallas/Fort Worth, on late Sunday night, a Carrollton house was destroyed in a fire. Although the house is now uninhabitable, the family made it out safely and with no injuries. Their well-being is all thanks to their beloved pet dog.
The blaze broke out at the house at about 10:30 pm, officials report. The family Chihuahua alerted the residents to the flames. The dog saw the fire and started barking, so the family fled the property. Firefighters were able to save the family cat and the cause of the disaster is under investigation.
